Striping tape nail art

If  you like geometric designs, or a good mani with crisp lines go for a striping tape you can create so many different shapes, and make them look absolutely stunning with some practice. What you see in this pic is my first attempt using a striping tape.

Apply your base coat, after your base coat dries completely apply your base color, let dry, now cut striping tapes to the length you desire for your nails place them diagonally opposite, press it down gently but firmly so that there is no gap beneath them, ensure the striping tapes are placed with equal distance from each other for uniformity, now apply another color of your choice on top of it, wait for few seconds and pull the tape gently away. now you have your striping tape mani, for the pointer finger I directly applied nail polish brush to create parallel lines.

Choose a polish that is a bit opaque in consistency so your lines look more clear and crisp, if you add too many coats it looks glumpy , mine here looks like a jelly color :-)

Products Used:
  • Oriflame crystal base and top coat
  • Maybelline color show blueberry ice 403
  • Maybelline color show orange fix 214
